Never again will you have to go ALL THE WAY to the store, just to buy delicious nitrous protein-filled hummus!!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Food Processor/Blender (Or a super-human amount of strength and a fork)
One can of garbanzo beans
1/8 cup Lemon juice
1/8 cup Olive oil (Plus little extra to put on top after its done)
Tablespoon of tahini
2 cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper
Strain and rinse garbanzo beans.
Then throw all of that together in your mixing device of choice.
You'll want to combine until the texture is smooth and creamy.
** Substitute and Other Options **
This recipe works with just about any type of can bean.
(Except for maybe Green beans. Which in my opinion aren't really beans at all...)
Black beans are my personal favorite to use as a substitute.
Also, if you don't have tahini, I've heard other Nut-Butters will do in a pinch.
However I have yet to be brave enough to try that out.
Try adding in some cilantro or other spices as well!
The hummus options are truly endless!!! :)
